Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! I am so thankful for your presence at First Lutheran Church (FLC) and hope you feel uplifted with God’s Word and Sacrament as we share in ministry together.
As this year’s stewardship campaign reminds us, “Because of God’s Great Mercy” we have new life now and forever in the crucified and risen Christ. We can see this new life in the hope springing from new young folks attending worship, in the voices of choir members singing their faith, in the questions and smiles of many children, youth and adults studying scripture, in the care shown of a delivered meal to those in need, and in all of the good fruits of the Spirit borne in the various callings you live out every day as family members, friends, and citizens of our community. And because of God’s great mercy we await a life after death of inestimable joy and peace!
Over the next few weeks, please consider how you might continue to play a vital part in the ministry of FLC. All of us have the need to give back in gratitude. Enclosed are ways you can do this with your first fruits. What you gain in giving can far exceed what you might expect as well as benefit those whom you serve.
Please return or submit the Time/Talent and Estimate of Giving forms either in the box in the narthex or online at www.flcmhk.org by Sunday, October 5. Your support makes a big difference! Thank you and may God bless you.
Gratefully,
Susan Adams
